Dear Golden Hawks Band Families,
Good Morning,
Here is some important information for the weekend.
Thursday, December 12, is the required auditorium rehearsal for the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. The Concert Band is 2:30-4 PM and Jazz 4:15-5:15 PM. Wind Ensemble will have their rehearsal during class.
Our Winter Concert is Friday, December 13, at 7 PM. Doors will open at 6:45 PM, and an audio recording will be available by January. Admission is 2-3 items to support the school food drive. Per person if you are able, though anything is a welcomed contribution for our community. Suggested items are available via the QR code on the attached flyer. Both the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble will need to report to the stage by 6 PM Friday for our joint rehearsal. Thank you to all who have sponsored a performance selection.
Saturday is the Holly Springs Parade, beginning at 10 AM. IMPORTANT info can be found here - Parade details
Main street will begin closing at 8 am and will not reopen until after the parade.
Our marching band luncheon is at 3 PM in the cafeteria. If you have not RSVP'd to eat please do so today. Luncheon RSVP form The deadline is 8 PM Wednesday! All marchers, staff and family members are invited to attend.

Financial Statements
GHR Members/Families: if you have an outstanding balance for GHR, please make a payment as soon as possible or, if you have not already, contact the band presidents or treasurers to discuss payment plan options. Thank you.
Payments can be made through the link on your statement or via check (HSHS Band Boosters) and placed in the band box.
NOTE: for students who are planning to participate in a 2024-25 winter program (indoor guard/percussion), prior student balances MUST BE PAID IN FULL. If you have any questions or concerns, please email goldenhawksbandhshs@gmail.com.

Marching Band Luncheon
Please join us to celebrate a fantastic GHR season! The GHR Band Luncheon is Saturday, December 14 at 3pm, after the Holly Springs parade, and will be held at Holly Springs High School.
All students that participated in GHR are invited to attend and will receive a free lunch that includes two slices of pizza, salad, water and dessert. Students, please RSVP to choose your meal or decline your meal. Family and friends that would like a meal as well will need to RSVP. These extra family meals will be $8 per person. We will collect money at the door OR you can use credits. You only need to submit one form - PLEASE COORDINATE WITH YOUR FAMILY to submit one form
Please RSVP BY WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 11th by 8:00 PM.

Volunteers - We Need You!
Volunteers are ALWAYS needed, especially during marching band season. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! You are raising teenagers, so you are already qualified! It is an awesome way to meet other parents, staff, and see what the students are doing.

When you receive your confirmation, please take a screenshot and send it to the volunteer coordinators: ghrvolunteers@gmail.com. They are also happy to answer any questions about volunteering.
