PNC Arena Volunteering

PNC Arena

Volunteer with other HSHS band parents at PNC Arena. We have a Dippin' Dots cart in a prime location, and anyone working the cart is guaranteed $45 per shift.  This fund-raising opportunity raises over $6000 a year for the band while allowing workers to earn money to pay band dues.

It is like a “band savings account”, where tax-free pay is deposited directly into your student’s account and used for future band expenses.  Each time you work, you are guaranteed to raise money for the band as well as $45 - $100+ that is deposited directly into your CutTime account.

As a bonus, some may be eligible to defer the last marching fair share payment for 60 days if you are on the schedule to work at least 2 days during those 60 days.

The money already earned in your account can help cover fair share costs for GHR, winter programs (Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion), trips, extra uniform accessories, music fees for classroom, All-District and Tri-M fees, banquet tickets and more!  Essentially, if it is paid out of CutTime you can pay for it with the money you earned.

Please remember anyone 16+ can work the booth (those 16-18 need an adult present), and you can have multiple members of your household work the same shift, to earn even more money. Please contact Craig or Nate at hshs_pnc@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

CCUMP at Walnut Creek

Earn money towards your fair share at Walnut Creek!

We have two stands at Walnut Creek selling drinks to concert goers raising money for the band and for workers CutTime accounts.

Meet other parents and hear the concert while raising money for the band and your child’s CutTime account.  Each concert you work, your CutTime account will be credited with $50 - $100+ (the majority of concerts you will earn at least $100).  This is tax free money that is deposited directly into your account and can be used to pay fees paid out of CutTime.  If you and your spouse/partner work together you double your earnings.   Some parents earn enough over the summer to pay the marching band fair share before band even starts!

All workers must be 21+ and have had training within the last 3 years.  There are training sessions scheduled throughout the concert season.   Please contact Craig at hshs_pnc@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
